Witch Oil Control Foaming Face Wash

I can’t help but notice that lately when I’ve been going to work it’s actually light outside! Not only that but it’s actually getting a little bit warmer too. This of course means that my skin is doing its annual freak out and becoming oilier than ever across my t-zone. I’m a sucker for anything that promises to help with this so this had to come home with me. It claims to eliminate oil and combat shine.

Firstly I love the packaging. It’s a plastic bottle with a pump nozzle, you know I approve of anything that comes with a pump! The formula is a little unusual. It is dispensed like a very light weight mousse. It’s kind of fun and a bit different. I adore anything that smells of witch hazel, tea tree, eucalyptus etc and the light fresh scent of this is right up my alley.

This certainly is an effective cleanser and it does a good job of removing oil and grime. It isn’t as harsh as most oil control cleansers are but still if you have dry skin this isn’t the product for you. Sadly I haven’t noticed any reduction in oil production over time so whilst this does effectively remove oil I wouldn’t say it ‘controls’ it in the long run.

Whilst I’m not convinced there really is a miracle face wash out there that is going to control my oily nose I’m open to suggestions, has anything worked for you? In the mean time I do still really like this face wash and I would happily repurchase it. And it's only £3.99!

  1. "it’s actually getting a little bit warmer too" - I'm assuming this post was scheduled before the ridiculous change of weather that Scotland does so well. To think I just bought more sun cream!!

These foaming face washes always look great but I know they'd kill my super-dry skin. :( Thanks for the review!

    1. Correct! I wrote the post last week when we were basking in tropical sunshine. Today it snowed. The weather is messing with my head!

I suspect you are right, I don't think this would be a good bet for super dry skin. Glad you liked the review! x

  3. Like you, my skin has also been having the seasonal freakout. Although the fact the temp has just plummeted again has probably made it more confused XD I have been using the l'occitane red rice toner, and I've used the moisturizer before and both have been amazing for controlling my pore size and keeping my face matte. they have a cleanser in that range too- maybe it will do the same?
