I adore L’Occitane hand creams, or at least the ones I’ve
been able to get as magazine samples. You see one of my many neurotic
tendencies is a phobia of dry hands. The noise of someone with dry skin rubbing
their hands together is the stuff of nightmares. *Shudder*. So I slather on
hand cream in vast quantities every time I wash my hands.
L’Occitane Relaxing Hand Balm is surprisingly light weight.
I was expecting something really rich but this sinks in almost instantly with
absolutely no greasy residue. It is moisturising but I think I prefer their
shea butter hand creams. I like a rich greasy hand cream. This is perfect for
on the go as you won’t leave sticky finger prints everywhere but if you’re
looking for a really rich treat you might want to look for something else in
their range.
The lavender, tea tree and geranium fragrance is light and
it does smell very relaxing. It just isn’t rich enough for me. It’s more of a
day time throw in your hand bag sort of texture but it comes in a metal tin
rather than a tube so it’s not overly travel friendly. So whilst yes it’s nice,
it isn’t the L’Occitane hand cream that I would buy. But if you prefer a light
weight hand cream this costs £12 for a 50ml tin.

I love L'Occitane hand creams. The Hibiscus one is really nice. Have you tried the Palmers Cocoa Butter hand cream. I'm a hand cream addict and it is the best I've tried to date and its cheap!

I have tried and unfortunately I can't stand the smell :-( I like it for a couple of minutes then it makes me feel a bit sick. No idea why! Guess I'm just weird lol x
DeleteI think Cocoa Butter may be a marmite thing where you love it or hate it - I can't get enough of it!

Thanks for reviewing this, I was curious to know if it was better than their shea butter hand creams.
