Nouveau Lashes Noir Mascara

Way back in December I got this in a Glossy Box. This is, as far as I’m aware, only available from the Nouveau Beauty Group website for £14.99. The price seems to place it in the mid range of the mascara market. I certainly wouldn’t pay that much for a high street brand mascara but it’s less extortionate than higher end brands.

The packaging actually feels fabulously luxurious. It’s a cold metal tube with a lot of weight to it. The traditional bristle wand is just about the perfect size too. It’s not so small as to be fiddly but it’s not so big that I end up blobbing mascara everywhere.

The formula is actually lovely too. For me it’s a great work mascara. It is quite a wet formula so whilst it’s ok at holding a curl it isn’t the best I’ve used for that purpose but it gives incredible definition and it has a really glossy jet black finish that I love. Whilst it isn’t overly volumising it does layer well. I have had zero smudging or flaking from this mascara despite the fact that it comes off really easily with just warm water.

I really do like this mascara, the formula and the packaging are ticking all of the boxes for me. Whilst I’m not convinced I will be bothered to order this online (I’m an instant gratification type of shopper and I like to buy things in person) if I could get this in my local Boots or Superdrug then I probably would buy it again. Because it’s just such a good mascara for the work week I’ve certainly been getting my money’s worth from it!
