When on the hunt for a toner I
have one main requirement. NO ALCOHOL. Alcohol belongs in my glass, not on my
face. My combination skin does not play well with alcohol. This has an very
short ingredients list (lavender water, rose water, linolene, linalool, perfume, methylparaben) in which alcohol appears to
be absent so I decided to give it a go.
I bought the 100g bottle which
costs £3.75 (larger bottles are available). It’s the first toner I have tried
which comes in a spray bottle. It’s handy as the only time I use toner is in
the morning to remove excess oil before applying my makeup. This usually
happens before second coffee so I am prone to spilling things. You simply
spritz this onto a cotton pad, wipe your face and go.
Despite being targeted at normal
to dry skin this still does a nice job of refreshing my oily bits without
stripping the skin. My face feels clean and refreshed after use. I’m sure you
won’t be shocked to learn that this does have a rose scent (no, really?) but it
isn’t actually very strong and it fades very quickly.
If you have sensitive skin this
might be a good one for you to try. Do bear in mind though that it does contain
essential oils which can still irritate some people. My skin happens to find
this very soothing and I would definitely consider buying this again!

I love this, it's brilliant to spritz on to cool down in the summer!
ReplyDeleteOoh I will have to try that when it heats up a bit! It's supposed to be 0 degrees tomorrow :-( x
DeleteI love the Tea Tree Water for my oily skin. Definitely not harsh and virtually no smell. I've repurchased it probably 10 times. x
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried that one but I definitely will! x
