Space NK Eyeliner Brush

In the Space NK sale I spotted this brush reduced from £14 to £7 (as I write this it is still on the website at this price) and given that I don’t have any other eyeliner brushes in this style in the basket it went.

It is a square, flat synthetic brush. The handle is relatively short and squat, the bristles are extremely firm and springy but not scratchy at all. It feels very light weight but it is well made and has withstood multiple washes and uses with a variety of liners without losing shape or shedding a single hair.

The shape of the brush allows you to press in liner right at the root of the lashes allowing for a subtle but defined look. This certainly isn’t a brush I would use for any winged liner look but for every day definition it works well. The fact that it is synthetic means it’s great from cream/ gel liners but it doesn’t work as well with powder product. I actually bought this thinking I would use it with my Laura Mercier cake liner but it just doesn’t work brilliantly with it.

Over all I like but don’t love this brush. I think it’s just a personal preference though, that shape isn’t my favourite style of liner brush but nothing ventured nothing gained and at least I’ve tried it now. And it is an excellent price for a good quality brush! X
