I received this with a Space NK order and was intrigued.
This claims to be an ‘Ultra conditioning lip line filler, volumizer and plumper’.
I naturally have quite deep lines in my lips. It’s never bothered me but I was
curious to see if this would actually do anything to improve them.
The product is a thick white cream which smells and tastes a
little bit like orange sherbet (which always makes me think of Austin Powers...).
There is the familiar sting/ tingle that you get with most lip plumping
products. It’s not uncomfortable but it is there. Whilst this is moisturising
initially I personally don’t think it’s a replacement for a lip balm for me as
my lips started to feel dry again pretty quickly after using it.
As for reducing the depth of my lip lines yes it does. Not permanently
obviously but after use my lips do look a little plumper and smoother. I think
where this product would be useful would be as a primer. If you applied it at
the start of applying your makeup then by the time you apply you lip products
you would find yourself with a smoother canvas with none of the lip that
traditional balms give.
