Goodbyes

It’s that time of the month again where I take a look at all of the products I’m finished recently and give my verdict on whether or not I think they are worthy of a repurchase. First up, I’ve actually finished some makeup!

See that gloriously empty pan there? That was the Sleek Crème to Powder foundation. I really did not get on with this. I found the texture odd, it was difficult to get an even application and it did not last well on my skin. Needless to say I won’t buy this particular foundation again.

Garnier Anti Dark Circles Roll On. On the one hand I really like the look of this but the alcohol in it made my eyes water and dried my skin out a little. For this reason I won’t buy it again.

My beloved Collection 2000 Love Your Lips Gloss is gone! I can’t scrape anything else out of the tube. These are fab little glosses. Really moisturising and they have SPF. I already have some other shades on the go.

The Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate was actually a fab product and one I wouldn’t definitely recommend for parched winter skin. I don’t think I’d need anything this hard core over the summer but maybe next winter I will indulge.

More Botanics Hand Cream and ELF face wipes. I always have these two on the go and I have backups. The Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream was nice too but I’ve had cheaper moisturisers produce similar results.

The ELF Blot Sheets appear every month too so no surprise there. The tiny sample of Laughter Nuit perfume came with a Space NK order and I loved it. I’m definitely tempted by the full bottle. I finally defeated my Vaseline Rosy Lips. Those tins take literally months to go away! The Cherry Cola lip smacker if from Primark, these are actually fab little lip balms and I have a few more stashed away.

And finally we come to two products that I just do not recommend. The Mark Hill Heat Protection spray stank like vodka and did nothing for my hair. The Boy Shop Satsuma Body Polish had an overpowering scent that could be a little sickly (each to their own though) and I didn’t find it scrubby enough at all. I won’t be buying that again!

  1. You've done fantastically well Claire, especially with the makeup empties! I'm still hanging in there - I've finished another 3 items this month, so 3 more to go and I'm finally done with P10P :)

  2. I really like the Garnier roll-on concealer and the alcohol doesn't bother me at all. Really nice. I also love the Vaseline Rosy lips and I still haven't finished mine, it has a small ring around the edge, but I reckon it's another two weeks' worth at the least. :)

    1. Lots of people love it, its probably just my watery eyes that don't get on with it. I do love the Vaseline Rosy lips. I know some people slate petroleum jelly based balms but they work fine for me! x

  4. I love these posts! It's always such a good feeling to go through things. I have to agree with you that the Satsuma can be overpowering; for a while it was my favorite scent and then all of a sudden I started feeling a bit ill when I smelled it because it was so strong. I hate when products are too lightly scented but this one goes the opposite direction. Good job this month! :)
