I wanted to get this review up ASAP as word on the grape vine is that Collection 2000 will soon be rebranding so I’m not sure if this mascara will still be around. I hope it will be because I freaking love it!
I know what you’re thinking, blue mascara? Really? Yes. I love coloured mascara. It looks pretty subtle on my black lashes unless I’m in direct sunlight (or in front of a camera flash) but the colour is strong enough to have an impact on your look. Anyway the colour doesn’t matter too much as you can buy this in black too. This is just an all round great mascara for me!
We will start with the wand. It’s a dense bristled affair which is importantly not too big. I’ve had it with these huge mascara wands that poke you in the eye and smear mascara all the way up my hooded lids. This is just right. Not too big but not so small as to be fiddly. Perfect!
The formula is very dry which makes it excellent at holding a curl. It build length nicely too although girls who like a volumising mascara (I usually don’t) may want to layer this over something else as it doesn’t provide much in the way of volume.
The packaging is cute too. It looks and feels more expensive than it’s £2.99 price tag. Over all this is one of the best mascaras for my short, fat, straight lashes that I’ve tried in a long time and it also happens to be one of the cheapest. Win! X
