VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixer With Argan Oil

All the cool kids seem to love anything to do with Argan oil. It’s supposed to be a miracle cure for, well, everything. I wanted a leave in hair treatment but frankly the prices of the big brands put me off. After all, I have a very short asymmetric bob. I don’t need a huge expensive jar of product! This little gem is a mere £4.99 for 50 ml that will last me at least a year and it contains the much hyped about Argan oil.

My hair is thick and coarse. To get it to sit nicely in its current cut my lovely hair dresser literally hacks layers out of it. When left to dry by itself it goes all frizzy and curly in a ‘hey my plugged in hair drier just fell in the bath with me’ kind of way. Shexshy. So I straighten it every time I wash it (every 2-3 days) which is bad I know. I wanted something to soften my hair, give it a bit of a gloss and maybe even help tame the frizztastic flyaways. This does all of the above.

The bottle had a dropper in the lid and three tiny drops and more than enough for my mop. I just rub it in my hands and apply to wet hair concentrating at the roots. It doesn’t make my hair greasy or weight it down although if you have very fine hair you may want to use ever less. One my hair is dry it looks sleek, glossy and feels much less coarse. I’ve been using this for over a month and the bottle still looks brand new.
So there you go. You don’t need to spend a fortune on a miracle hair product. VO5 will do the trick for less than a fiver. The only thing I dislike is the faint coconut scent but that’s because I’m a fussy bugger and don’t like coconut. I will continue to ignore it because I just adore the product! X

  3. Thanks for the tip hun, I will buy some with my Boots points. I recently tried that 3 day straight from Friz-eaze and it is truly awful. It just acts like very strong sticky hairspray. Great if your your is already straight, not great if you want to run a brush through it without breaking the brush.

  6. Hope it works for you Victoria! And if it doesn't at least this is less the an fiver to try unlike most hair oils!

It's a strange product Anita. I was convinced it would turn me into a greasy mess but as long as you use the right amount it's not greasy at all.

Ew Ew Ew I will be steering well clear of the Friz-eaze then Vicky! I remember in high school all the cool kids used Friz-eaze and it made my hair disgusting then too.

Hope you like it if you do try it Joy :-)

I'm afraid I don't know Bex. Do you get other VO5 products there? If so then probably. Hope you manage to find it !!
