Selfridges Advent Calendar Update

Well then? Was it £80 well spent? If you missed my original post here here it is. Here are the goodies I’ve gotten so far (well for the first week, I'll update on the 24th).

I’m an idiot and forgot to include the Lancome Eau Micellaire Doucer (express cleansing water for eyes and face to you and me) that I got on day 1. I’ve had this before, actually I’m still using another sample up. It’s distinctly meh but I’ll save a review for another day.

Since then I’ve had a mini Lancome Trésore perfume (me no likey), and Emporio Armarni (love it), Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream (it appears to have 12 billion ingredients), Lancome Hypnose mascara, Lancome Rénergie Lift Volumetry moisturiser (love the packaging) and a Lancome Juicy Tube.

The start of the show so far for me is the mini YSL Rouge Pur Couture in shade 09.The packaging is adorable and the shade is very me. These are meagre little samples. These will last me a good while. Frankly I have so much stuff that I’m probably better off with samples sizes. At least it gives me a fighting chance of finishing them! Do I think the calendar is worth it so far? Yes actually. With the exception of the YSL lipstick these are all products I never would have thought to buy myself and it’s great to get to try them out x

  2. I have 2 or 3 samples of the Lancome Rénergie Lift Volumetry moisturiser and I'm currently using one of them and quite like it so far. Actually Lancome has come up as a favourite skincare brand, I use Genifique all the time and love it very much, I've also recently started using the Genifique night cream and I have the eye cream and day cream too (samples) to use when I have finished the ones I'm currently using. Expensive, but good stuff.

  4. It's certainly lovely to wake up to a new beauty goody every morning Tanesha! (Although I do have a chocolate one too ;-))

I've tried a day cream of theirs before Anita and liked it. I kind of feel like I can't justify spending that kind of cash on my skin just yet though. Maybe in a couple of years I will.

Aw that is such a shame Sarah! Fingers crossed you manage to get one next year :-)
