I got this little sample in an order last Christmas and it’s
taken me all the time to get round to trying it. Was it worth the wait? Meh. They
make a lot of fancy claims and it doesn’t really live up to them for me.
It claims to soothe the skin (can’t tell to be honest), blot
excess oil (not at all) and even out redness (nope). The texture is a strange
one. It’s kind of like a thin, white watery mousse. It does a nice enough job
of providing a smooth base for foundation I suppose but it doesn’t fill in
pores like most of my primers do. It doesn’t do much of anything actually.
I don’t notice it prolonging the wear of my foundation
either. I suppose on the plus side it doesn’t irritate my skin and hasn’t caused
any break outs. It just doesn’t do anything bad to my skin but it doesn’t do
anything amazing either. Perhaps it’s my skin type. I favour polyfiller for
pores with a super matte finish and this doesn’t do either of those things for
me. £18 for 30ml? I don’t think so! x

I've tried the Prep + Prime and I totally agree with you - it really didn't do much other than just moisturise my skin! Definitely not worth the money! x
ReplyDeleteI don't even find it particularly moisturising on my dry bits TBBB! Such an odd non product! x
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! I was thinking of trying a primer from MAC but I'll skip this one. :)
ReplyDeleteI need a primer that works like that "Polyfilla" stuff too.
ReplyDeleteNo7 have just launched a new primer and I did get a little sample pot from the nice lady at Boots. I tried it once on one side of my face and the applies foundation all over.
The side with the primer didn't look "porey" at all. It is silicone type but not as slippy as many of those type of primers.
At the moment Boots have those "£5 off No7" vouchers if you spend £5 in in the shop.
I'm going to buy the full size which is around £12 but £7 with my voucher.
They also launched a new BB Cream which is quite ok so far as I had a sample of that too.
Have a great New Year !
