Sometimes I find myself thinking ‘I really should do a swap with someone in the US. They have so much cool stuff!’ Should I ever get round to such a swap I know I’d definitely be including some iconic UK drugstore products like a Sleek palette and of course one of the fantabulous dazzle dusts. I’ve raved about these before but for some reason never got round to swatching these three. These are all swatched on bare skin!
First we have pink/ gold (3). It’s a soft, pale pink which flashes gold. If I’m feeling a bit girly/ lazy I wear this on its own. It has enough dimension to look interesting all by itself. It’s sooooo pretty.
Old Gold (24) is a muted gold with a slight green tinge. It’s quite festive really but not quite as blatantly festive as this...
Khaki (14) green? Seems more like a true green to me. It’s gorgeous, metallic and makes a fantastic eyeliner.
Like all dazzle dusts a sticky primer is needed to reduce fall out. Old Gold it a touch chunky but all three are insanely pigmented and last forever. Yes maybe it is a bit early to start thinking about festive makeup looks but the Christmas party invites have started appearing and I like to plan ahead :p
*I bought these myself*

I loveeee the green, I would wear that every day! lol.
ReplyDeletelove the pink gold! it reminds me of the pink in Clinique's strawberry fudge eyeshadow which also has a rose gold color!
ReplyDeleteLove the green, but I agree it is not very khaki. I have Greeny Effect Powder by Gosh, and it as an absolutely amazing khaki green.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I love all 3, they're gorgeous! ;) You're so lucky to have Barry M and Sleek!

Love them all they look gorgeous!!I want some Barry and need I guess!!!xxx
ReplyDeleteOoh I will have to check out that Gosh powder. I'm a huge fan of greens on me.
ReplyDeleteI guess we are pretty lucky in the UK lol. I *think* (but I could be wrong) that the Barry M site now does international shipping?
xxx
Both Barry M and Sleek ship internationally, but you have to pay shipping and you also can't see what the products look like, so you have to rely on videos and swatches! :/

True :-( I've seen so many brands that aren't available here that I'd love to order but I'm frightened it wouldn't be what I was expecting so it would be a waste. MUFE for example. I want everything lol but I would never spend that much without properly trying the products out first x
ReplyDeleteOh yeah MUFE is sooo expensive! We actually have MUFE here, but I don't think I'll buy something from them in the near future, as they're too expensive! At least Barry M and Sleek are reasonably priced! :)

I never knew swaps existed until I started getting into beauty blogs. I think it's such a neat idea as long as everyone is trustworthy, of course. I have been going back and forth about ordering from Sleek because of the shipping cost to the US. I'm drooling over the palettes and pout polish! I have a question for you- I'm looking to add red shadows to my collection- Do you think that the Good Girl palette would be a good choice? I noticed that Sleek has a few palettes that include a red shade but Good Girl seems to have a few of them together. But, it's hard to tell exactly whether they are red or not from swatches on a monitor...
ReplyDeleteThat's the problem I suppose. You never know if people are trustworthy. The Good Girl Palette is really pink rather than red. There are some reddish/ pinkish/ orangey shades but not really a true red. I think Barry M does a proper red Dazzle Dust if that helps :-) x
